Diablo 4 “leave dungeon” option not working and how to fix it

You mean I have to actually retrace my steps?

Diablo 4 leave dungeon not working fix

Diablo 4 is a huge game, and with a frequent flux of updates, some things break. However, it seems some players are having an annoying issue that leaves them unable to fast-travel out of dungeons. To spare you the stress, we’ll go over how to fix the “leave dungeon” option not working problem in Diablo 4.

How to fix the leave dungeon not working problem in Diablo 4

There is a specific action in the Action Wheel for fast-traveling out of a dungeon so that you don’t have to go back to a Waypoint every time. You can select it, but nothing works. You can still fast-travel to another Waypoint, but that defeats the purpose.

One fix is to manually leave the dungeon you’re in by walking all the way to the entrance, though this is a waste of time. Manually doing this adds a lot of tedious downtime in between activities in Diablo 4.

Alternatively, simply log out of the game and back in — just select “leave game.” It’s annoying to do, but again, things break. It’s no guarantee you’ll spawn exactly where you left off, but it’ll essentially provide a refresh to dungeons and other activities.

Hopefully, in a future update, this will be fixed, as fast-traveling out of dungeons cuts so much downtime between loading screens and traveling back and forth.

What is the point of leaving a dungeon in Diablo 4?

You’d want to leave a dungeon instead of teleporting to a Waypoint for farming reasons. If you are trying to level or farm for specific drops, you’d ideally want to leave the dungeon you’re farming, reset them in your quest tab, and go right back in.

This eliminates the need to log out and log back in. It’s also to avoid all the unnecessary loading screens as that time can rack up quickly.
