Good news! Legendary hunky games publisher Devolver Digital has announced the date and time for their feverishly anticipated blockbuster event, Devolver Delayed. It’s airing August 7th at 8 a.m. PST. You love anticipating things, so get ready to hear about all the things you’ll be anticipating for longer than you expected.
It takes a lot of courage to put on a stream that showcases all the games you’re heroically delaying until 2024. Thankfully, Devolver Digital has a tonne of courage that they’ve been harvesting from their developers for just such an occasion. You know what Shigeru Miyamoto famously said: “A good game is here now, a delayed game is forever.”

Devolver has just provided so many great games that they can now use to crush our spirits in Devolver Delayed. Every month that the development period of a game is extended, it heightens the chance that the world will end before we ever get to experience it. Isn’t that exciting?
I’ve always said that my favorite part of this job is not playing games, so Devolver Delayed is something I can really get behind. It’s basically Devolver Digital saying, “Leave the procrastination to us. Shhh. Shhh. You’re safe now.” The only thing that could possibly be more exciting is a “Nintendo Canceled Game Direct” or a “Konami Games-We’re-Never-Making Showcase.”
