Devolver Directs are always a spectacle to tune into, and this year seems like no exception. The minds behind Devolver Digital’s annual showcase streams have locked in June 9 as the date for the next Direct.

The Devolver Direct 2022 will air June 9, at 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET. It will air on Twitch and yes, it is part of Summer Game Fest 2022.

Today’s teaser is filled with the chaotic tenor you’d expect from a Devolver tease. What it ends with, though, is a pretty good surprise. Say hello to Mecha-Suda51.

Here’s the rundown of the stream, according to the video description:

“A clueless team of Devolver Digital execs, scrambling to produce a presentation, accidentally trigger a reality-bending, industry-wide event that threatens the very fabric of video game time and space.”

While Devolver’s streams have usually been a symphony of twists and madness, there are also usually some video games. Past years have included the release dates for games like Fall Guys: Ultimate KnockoutCarrion, and even a glimpse of No More Heroes 3.

Devolver will probably have some fun news to share this year, too. And it’ll add on to the ever-heightening pile of summer games showcases.

Earlier that day is the Summer Game Fest Live stream with Geoff Keighley, followed by the Day of the Devs 2022 showcase.

On June 10, three showcases will air. IGN will return with a Summer of Gaming stream, Tribeca will spotlight its lineup of games, and Netflix Gaming will possibly have some news. Netflix’s show will cover both games and streaming series based on games.

June 11 is one of the most packed showcase days so far, with Guerrilla Collective, the Wholesome Direct, the Future of Play Direct, and Future games Show.

Then June 12 takes us home with Xbox and Bethesda’s joint presser, followed by the PC Gaming Show.

Still no word from Nintendo on its plans. Ubisoft recently confirmed it won’t be airing a showcase this summer, nor will Electronic Arts. Keep up with the full schedule in our dedicated post here.
