Destructoid crashes the 2007 Blip Festival: Pictures to prove it

Recommended Videos

This past weekend, Analog Pidgin and I prepared ourselves as the Dtoid crew made their way to our neck of the woods (for once) to attend the 2007 Blip Festival. Held this year at Eyebeam in New York, the event showcased the finest in chiptunes, digital art, and 8-bit awesomeness in general.

Imagine ten or fifteen of your favorite musicians hitting the stage, one after the other, for four straight days. That’s what the event was like for me, and I’m sure the same can be said for many in attendance. Featuring the incredible talent of Bit Shifter, Nullsleep, Bubblyfish, and BSK to name but a few, it was an amazing experience we’ll not soon forget.

Big thanks to the 8-bit collective, 8-bit Peoples, and all the performers who made it what it was. Thanks also to official Dtoid photographer Charlie Suh for taking tons of pictures, and to Analog Pidgin for helping to organize all of us being crazy together.

Oh, also … Phist, Velcroman, Charlie and Buster ate a bull penis. Photographic evidence below.
