17-Bit’s turn-based Skulls of the Shogun is wonderful. Strategy players, simply put, need to grab it. And now that it’s coming to Steam, I don’t feel like I jerk for making such a strong recommendation. So long, Windows 8!

This new Bone-A-Fide Edition can be pre-ordered for $11.99, which also includes beta access featuring the first chapter of the single-player campaign and every multiplayer map. That’s 36 maps, by the way. The full game introduces the Tanuki unit (yes!) and four post-original-ending chapters. Jump on that reduced price while you can.

“We’re delighted to bring that definitive version of Skulls of the Shogun to Steam, which adds a ton of original content and enhanced multiplayer features,” said 17-Bit CEO Jake Kazdal. “We hope it’s worth the wait.”
