Oh, Electronic Arts, will you ever do something that doesn’t completely enrage anybody who dares buy your stuff on PC?
Crysis was recently discounted on Steam, but there’s a problem — the unlock codes don’t work, and people have been unable to play the game even 48 hours after purchase. That would be bad enough, but it’s EA’s horrific customer support that’s become the focus of attention.
EA’s phone staff are being very unhelpful, in addition to not speaking English very well. Here’s one conversation that a frustrated gamer had on a support call:
ME: So are EA doing anything or are you playing the ‘Blame Game’?
KIETH: Is there anything else I can help you with today?
ME: Yes, you can provide me with the information I’m seeking, and not give me a ’round about answer’
KIETH: We will not provide you code either you will come hundreds of times
The Steam thread on this issue currently has 1,242 replies and 267,984 views. Check it out, because there are more amusing/depressing anecdotes concerning EA’s customer support. It’s enough to make you come hundreds of times.
[Thanks, Joshua!]
