We’ve got copies of retro action-platformer Goblin Sword up for grabs in today’s contest!

Huge AAA games are cool and everything, but my favorite part of this gig is getting some spotlight on indie titles that otherwise wouldn’t get much coverage on the site. It makes me feel like I’m helping passionate people out, and gives the devs some extra exposure to boost their game. Also, you lot get free games — everyone wins!

Today we’ve got Switch keys to give away for indie platformer Goblin Sword. It’s got great retro-inspired visuals and gameplay, and I really think you’re gonna dig it. So, what are you waiting for?!

This one is retro to the core: An evil wizard has invaded your village, and you must go on a quest to defeat him! Slay monsters, collect loot, and take down huge bosses in this action-platformer. Read some key features!

  • 89 levels
  • 13 bosses
  • 30 weapons with unique special attacks
  • 30 relics that grant you abilities
  • 14 costumes
  • 8 guardians that follow you around and assist you
  • 5 secret very hard levels
  • Decorate your home with souvenirs

It’s not fair — I don’t have any souvenirs in my home. I want souvenirs from my old-school quests!

To enter to win, donate some of your questing trophies to me so I can decorate my home. Tell me what you’ve collected, how you’ve collected it, and why you’re giving it to me. Spread the wealth to this old man, far too old to quest anymore. [I’m 33, which is essentially dead.]

We have five Switch NA keys to give away; winners will be drawn Thursday, February 20. Please make sure to comment using a Dtoid account with your current email address on file. New to the site? Sign up here to donate relics to this aging hero.

Goblin Sword is available now on the Switch eShop. Check out Nintendo Enthusiast for more chances to win!
