These days, videogame commercials try so hard to be “awesome” that they nearly always end up generic and uninteresting. Once upon a time, commercials didn’t have to try, they were either sparks of genius, or so utterly retarded that they were destined to become classics. 
 
I’m not sure which of those two classifications this old Spyro 2 commercial falls under, but I do know it’s one of many great/stupid old commercials we aim to highlight.  I foresee a vast majority of them being PlayStation adverts. Once upon a time, Sony actually had fantastic marketing behind its system. How times have changed. 
 
While we’re at it, I recommend digging out an old copy of Spyro or downloading it on PSN. The old games still hold up shockingly well.
