Comments of the week: I like FemShep 5

Recommended Videos

FemShep 5 is fierce. I don’t care who knows it and I would shout it from the rooftops if they weren’t locked for anything other than an emergency. Yes yes.

Comments of the Week is a feature where we scour the front page, community blogs and forums picking out comments. The ones that make you think, the ones that make you laugh and the ones that make you cry (but also laugh), and consolidate them into an entertaining package for the viewing pleasure of you, the Destructoid community.

Comments will fall into three categories:

TRUTH: More honest than Abe.

LOL: Funnier than hitting a watermelon with a hammer.

WUT? More confusing than a pear with teeth.

[Many thanks go to VGFreak1225 for his invaluable contributions to this week’s Comments of the Week.]

From The Memory Card .100: Where it all began …

Sean: No no, Chad, thank you for sharing. Here’s to 100 Memory Cards!

VGFreak1225: And here’s to 100 more!

From Expressing Joy

Sean: Here’s to Andy’s good news!

VGFreak1225: I was trying to come up with something witty here, but all that came out was, “Baby’s First Boner”. NEVER MIND.

From Why the Mass Effect 3 FemShep vote was the wrong move

Sean: It’s ok, we’re in a celebratory mood here, so Welcome to Destructoid Sophie!

From Gamers are getting ludicrous

VGFreak1225: I can totally agree with this. I have Asperger’s, and I frequently have trouble interacting for these exact same reasons. While I may have found a place here at Destructoid where I’ve become comfortable and know how to act, I’ve made plenty of mistakes on the internet in the past.

Sean: Penny Arcade put it most concisely:

From Journalizm!!

VGFreak1225: Seriously, this whole Elsa thing got out of hand. She didn’t insult eSports players, she didn’t even say that not being a sport was an inherently bad thing. Can’t we just, for once, debate these kinds of things in a civil manner without feeling like we need to put up a dozen flameshields?

Sean: I’m just going to point at the Sophie Prell comments, then I’m going to point at the Normal Person + Anonymity + Audience = Total F*ckwad theory, then I’m going to nod sagely.

From Venting anger

Sean: Anal Beads is possibly the worst name for a breakfast cereal ever.

From Who the hell are you?! Pictures thread!

Sean: Things sometimes get a little homoerotic on Forums Mountain.

SOFIK AND MATTRODROID TEAM UP AGAINST NEWCOMER JIMMYX IN THE SMACKDOWN OF THE MILLENNIUM! JIMMY’S PROVEN HE CAN TAKE WHAT’S BEEN THROWN AT HIM IN THE PAST, BUT IF HE CAN SURVIVE THIS CATASTROPHE, CAN HE WITHSTAND THE DARK TWISTED STRENGTH OF ANTI-SOFIK AND MATTRODROID PRIME???

I’m doing it wrong, aren’t I?

From: Live show: Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet with creators

Sean: I have stumbled into insanity and can’t unstumble out.

From: eSports defenders: The reason why eSports can’t be sports

VGFreak1225: You know, if eSports players got angry because Elsa said it wasn’t a real sport…

There’s a reason they’re called “soccer hooligans”.

Sean: I already have an unlimited pool of radiant energy. I recommend it. I’ve made massive savings on my electricity and gas bills.

VGFreak1225: Because talking about something you’re not familiar with is immediate grounds for termination.

Sean: I wrote about this guy two years ago! Good to see he’s still keeping it classy.

Here’s a picture of FemShep 5 to finish off. See you next week!
