Focus Home Entertainment has released a lengthy gameplay trailer for their upcoming third-person adventure title A Plague Tale: Innocence, which is headed to PC and consoles mid-May.

As you can see from this eight-minute slice of gameplay, the mood is particularly dark as siblings Amica and Hugo must pick their way through a dilapidated France, with their city riddled with plague and under the jurisdiction of The Inquisition. Stealth-action, puzzle-solving and crafting mechanics (because of course) await those who hope to guide our intrepid duo out of the darkness and into some form of light and hope.

Grim-looking game. But if the above video whets your appetite for this rat-infested adventure, then you don’t have too much longer to wait, as A Plague Tale: Innocence will be launching May 14 on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
