Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis has hit mobile devices, which may leave some players feeling left out. After all, Final Fantasy 7 Remake only exists on consoles and PCs, so many would understandably prefer to play it on those platforms. Of course, Ever Crisis is firmly a mobile game, so it makes sense why the game would stay in that environment. But for PC players, is there still a way to play Ever Crisis? This can get a little confusing if you’ve looked around online.
Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis is not officially available on PC. However, some players have been able to play the game on PC by using Android emulators. These programs simulate an Android device on your computer, which is why they can run Ever Crisis. However, note that emulators are not officially endorsed by Square Enix. You may run afoul of the game’s Terms of Service depending on how you use any kind of emulation.
To put this in context, Square Enix recently blocked players from accessing the game via a VPN. This was cited as a Terms of Service violation, so emulators could fall under that umbrella. Will you get in trouble if you play the game using an emulator? We can’t answer that with any certainty. However, you may run that risk.
If you play Ever Crisis on PC via an emulator, be careful of what you download
Even if your intent isn’t to play Ever Crisis, make sure you investigate any Android emulator you download. Some may open you up to Malware, which you certainly don’t want on your system. Always exercise due caution when downloading anything, especially if you’re poking your head into websites you don’t recognize.
This isn’t to scare you from ever using an emulator, necessarily. However, if you can play Ever Crisis on your phone, that’s really the easiest way to do it. Good luck!
