Call of Duty Black Ops 6 October 29 patch notes: God Mode fixed in Zombies

No more infinite zombies

Treyarch released a new patch on October 29 in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 ahead of the Season 1 launch, and this one will bring a lot of sad news for Zombies fans.

In case you haven’t figured it out, the Zombies mode used to have a God Mode glitch on the Terminus map, which allowed some to farm infinite XP for little effort. That bug seems to have been fixed based on the latest patch notes. Additionally, there are a few more changes as well that have been made in the Multiplayer mode. Let’s take a look at all the tweaks included in the latest patch.

Without further delay, here’s the full set of patch notes for the latest update, pushed out earlier today on October 29.

GLOBAL

  • Improved certain cases of image streaming in front-end menus.
  • Long Loadouts and Blueprints names will no longer be truncated for certain languages.
    • Players can expect longer Loadout and Blueprint names to scroll horizontally.
  • Improved stability within main menus.

MULTIPLAYER

  • Addressed an issue where certain weapons would lose a specific attachment upon match start.
  • Added various server-side stability fixes.

ZOMBIES

  • Closed an exploit on Terminus that allowed players to temporarily lose enemy targeting.
  • Closed an exploit on Liberty Falls that allowed players to temporarily lose enemy targeting.
  • Players can now only individually interact with the Bank Vault combination lock three times per round.

Stability

  • Added various server-side stability fixes.

Terminus isn’t the only map where you can avoid taking damage from the zombies and survive for as long as you like. The Bank Vault in Liberty Falls became a favorite of some players, who would interact with it as many times as they wanted. This would automatically cause the zombies to move away and stop targeting them.

With the latest changes, you can’t use the exploit on either map. The God Mode glitch on the Terminus map would prevent the Amalgam from targeting you if you managed to activate the Zipline during its attack. This allowed players to farm nearly infinite XP as they no longer had to bother about dying.

While this news will dampen some spirits, it’s best to enjoy the grind. In my experience, the Zombies mode will allow you to level up your player levels pretty quickly, especially if you manage to exfil safely. The Multiplayer mode also had a terrible bug which sometimes caused you to start a game with your weapon losing all applied attachments.

This fix will be crucial ahead of Season 1, as having such issues in the Ranked mode will hamper both your and your teammates’ experiences. Finally, certain stability fixes have also been applied as part of the latest patch, and I hope that the crashes will stop from happening.
