Outpost with an ocean view
When it comes to outpost building, location is key. You don’t want to be stuck looking at grey rocks whenever you visit your beloved outpost, so make sure you take the time to survey the Settled Systems for the perfect place to call home.
Reddit user /u/Any_Owl_3713 found an ideal spot on Porrima II. Their sprawling outpost overlooks an ocean, and it’s positioned just right to catch the sunrise.
A city above water
If you gather sufficient resources, you can build some pretty magnificent outposts. Reddit user /u/motionresque did this and constructed an outpost that reaches over an ocean on Archimedes II. The interior has all the features your crew needs to remain happy, and there are research stations for you to make use of all the minerals you’ve been gathering.
At the top of the mountain
One of the ways to get a good view is to build your outpost somewhere high up. Twitter user @Mr_Rebs_ did this on Montara Luna, and while the settlement isn’t massive, anyone reclining in there will feel like they’re king of the world.
The Archimedes outpost
This outpost was designed by Reddit user /u/krispydoughnuts who was setting out to create a place they would actually want to live in. The result is a cosy outpost with a central area that branches out into the various other rooms. The outpost has everything you need and more, including a gym, bathroom, game room, greenhouse, and a comfy lounge area for your crew to hang out in.
The tropical outpost
Reddit user /u/Mills1227 showed off their outpost built on the planet Serpentis III which offers some spectacular scenery. The outpost has all the amenities you could want, including a campsite, research facilities, a landing pad for your spaceship, and a luxurious bedroom.

Outpost building is a late-game feature, and you’re advised to not get too invested until you’ve had a few Starfield playthroughs and found the New Game+ universe you want to permanently dwell in. Once you have enough credits, you should also craft your dream spaceship.
