Best Sniper Rifles in Black Ops 6

It's time for some Longshot eliminations!

The Sniper Rifle class brings about the most challenging kills, including the ultimate Quickscope eliminations. Black Ops 6 adds to this selection, featuring a more retro take through its ’90s era. We’re here to show the best Sniper Rifles in BO6 by ranking each one.

Best Sniper Rifles in BO6, ranked

At the time of writing, Black Ops 6 only showcases three Sniper Rifles to use. Even though there isn’t much to choose from, some stand out more than others. So here we are to rank them and give you the best that BO6 has to offer.

3. LW3A1 Frostline

The LW3A1 Frostline is the best starter Sniper Rifle in Black Ops 6. You’ll acquire this weapon automatically without needing to level up like the others. While it is a pretty decent Sniper Rifle with its moderate recoil, stability, and ADS speed, it can be slightly tricky to handle. The LW3A1 Frostline’s accuracy rates, in particular, aren’t really the greatest, making it difficult to pinpoint your target. It’s also a bolt-action rifle, so the fire rate is pretty slow.

Regardless of the LW3A1 Frostline’s faults, the gun helps you unlock the higher-level Sniper Rifles for better performances.

2. LR 7.62

The LR 7.62 is a step above the LW3A1 Frostline, significantly boosting recoil and stability. Thanks to its enhanced accuracy, I found it much easier to land on-shot hits with this gun, especially with headshot kills. Though, it’s also a bolt-action rifle which essentially means a mini-reload after every shot.

This Sniper Rifle’s ADS rates aren’t anything to write home about either, so Quickscoping may feel out of reach. Fortunately, the weapon will improve over time while you unlock better materials for its build.

1. SVD

The SVD is quite possibly the best Sniper Rifle to use in BO6. Everything about this gun runs smoothly, from easy handling to increased fire rates. Since it’s not a bolt-action, you’ll have much more freedom in shooting with its default 10-round magazine. It boasts the biggest ammunition capacity in this class, giving you many more bullets to unleash.

With the SVD’s perks, you’ll find it much easier to navigate large maps and score Quickscope kills. But, of course, it all depends on your distinct playstyle, so try to play around with the entire collection to find the best BO6 Sniper Rifle for you. This ranking will likely change as more guns are released, primarily with the Season 1 Reloaded launch of the AMR Mod 4. Check back on this guide to see what other new weapons will make it to the Black Ops 6 meta.
