Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 4 re-introduces the Kar98k, and it’s poised to dominate both battle royale and multiplayer matches. Here is everything you need to know about creating a class setup for either experience.
Previously, the MORS was considered the best sniper rifle in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone because of its incredible mobility, aim-down sight speed, and ability to one-shot kill from any range. However, the Kar98k boasts better characteristics across the board and has all the makings of being the new best weapon in both titles. Let’s jump right into everything you need to know.
Best Kar98k loadout in Modern Warfare 3
In 2021’s Warzone Pacific, the Kar98k was regarded as one of the best, if not the best, weapons for Caldera. This time around, the rifle is just as good in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. The new iteration of the Kar98k is capable of one-shot kills in multiplayer made to the upper torso or higher from any range. Meanwhile, the base weapon can one-shot headshot down an enemy up to 63 meters, but that distance is extended even further with the right attachments.
- Barrel: Bryson Carbine-S Barrel
- Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
- Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser Light
- Optic: Glassless Optic
- Stock: No Stock:
Forget everything you know about making a usual marksman rifle loadout when choosing attachments for the Kar98k in multiplayer. Instead of improving damage range and fire rate as we would tend to do in Warzone, this MW3 class setup solely focuses on making mobility better. As a result, you can fly around 6v6 maps and easily take down enemies from any range before they even know what hit them.
Best Kar98k loadout in Warzone
- Muzzle: Sonic Suppressor L
- Barrel: Prazisiongewher 762 Long Barrel
- Optic: SP-X 80 6.6x
- Stock: No Stock
- Ammunition: 7.92 High Grain Rounds
With the Sonic Suppressor L and Prazisiongewher 762 Long Barrel equipped, the 63-meter one-shot headshot kill distance gets extended to 86. In addition, the No Stock improves the Kar98k’s aim-down sight time to 377 milliseconds, which shatters the best possible MORS aim-down sight time of 524.
Finally, 7.92 High Grain Rounds increase the sniper rifle’s bullet velocity to 985 meters per second, which beats out the best possible MORS bullet velocity of 792. Given all of these benefits, it’s hard to make a case to still use the MORS over the Kar98k.
