Best Emilie builds in Genshin Impact

What’s the best weapon for a perfumer?

Emilie is the first Genshin Impact character whose kit is designed around the Burning reaction. As such, her best builds are very different from those of most Dendro characters. Here are Emilie’s best weapons and artifacts to maximize her DPS.

Emilie’s best weapons in Genshin Impact

Lumidouce Elegy – Emilie’s best weapon

Lumidouce Elegy is Emilie’s strongest weapon. As her signature 5-star Polearm, it likely comes with a passive effect that’s tailor-made for her. Signature weapons tend to be specific to their respective characters, though, and with now unique Emilie’s kit is, it’s hard to recommend gambling on the weapon banner for it. See if you’re willing to use any of the alternative weapons listed below.

Other 5-star Polearms

Emilie can use most other 5-star Polearms as stat sticks, even if their buffs aren’t as specialized. Calamity Queller, Staff of Scarlet Sands, Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, and Staff of Homa are all useful to Emilie. Emilie can even use Engulfing Lightning or Skyward Spine in teams where she uses her Burst every rotation. If you already have an offensive 5-star Polearm sitting in your inventory, try using it on Emilie.

The Catch, Favonius Lance, or Deathmatch – Emilie’s best 4-star weapons

Among the 4-star weapons, The Catch, Favonius Lance, or Deathmatch are my recommended picks for Emilie. The Catch provides Emilie with Energy Recharge and Burst damage, making her rotations very comfortable. Best of all, The Catch can be obtained for free by fishing in Inazuma.

If your Catch is occupied by another character, try Favonius Lance for some extra Energy instead of damage. Deathmatch is a Battle Pass exclusive weapon, but with Refinements, it can rival the DPS output of some 5-stars. It’s up to you whether you want to spend $10-50 on Battle Passes, though.

Other 4-star Polearms

Unfortunately for Emilie, most of Genshin Impact’s 4-star Polearms just aren’t great. You can try Wavebreaker’s Fin, Missive Windspear, or Prospector’s Drill, if you have them. Prototype Starglitter is an alternative to Favonius Lance, if you’re looking for an Energy Recharge weapon.

Artifact sets for Emilie in Genshin Impact

4pc Unfinished Reverie

Finally, there’s a dedicated user for this niche artifact set. Unfinished Reverie is the best artifact set for Emilie, resulting in the highest DPS in teams where Burning is present. However, the Unfinished Reverie domain has artifacts that are only useful to a few characters. Unless you also have Arlecchino or Clorinde, this domain will be pretty inefficient to farm. If you’re absolutely determined to min-max your Emilie, then Unfinished Reverie will result in the most damage. Otherwise, try 4pc Deepwood Memories for a more Resin-efficient farming experience.

4pc Deepwood Memories

Despite resulting in slightly lower damage than Unfinished Reverie, 4pc Deepwood Memories is my actual recommended set for Emilie. Deepwood Memories can be farmed together with Gilded Dreams, both of which are useful for a wide variety of characters. Best of all, if you’ve been playing Genshin Impact since 3.0, there’s a good chance you already have a usable Deepwood Memories set for Emilie. You may not have to farm at all!

Artifact stats to prioritize for Emilie

SandsGobletCirclet
ATK
Energy Recharge
Dendro DMGCRIT Rate/DMG

If you want to use Emilie’s Burst every rotation, you will need about 170-180% Energy Recharge. This will require an Energy Recharge weapon or sands. If you don’t need to use Emilie’s Burst every rotation, though, her Energy Recharge needs disappear almost entirely. If you invest purely into ATK and CRIT instead of Energy Recharge, the increased Skill damage can somewhat make up for the less frequent Bursts.

It’s up to you which strategy you want to employ – either get enough Energy to Burst every rotation or go all-in on offensive stats instead. Don’t try to reach a middle ground with an intermediate amount of Energy Recharge, since this will lower her damage output compared to fully committing to a build.

Despite her Burning-centric kit, Emilie’s damage doesn’t actually come from the Burning reaction. Triggering Burning just gives buffs to her raw Dendro damage. As such, Emilie should prioritize CRIT stats and ATK as much as possible. Elemental Mastery is not useful to Emilie. Try to reach a 1:2 ratio of CRIT Rate to CRIT DMG.
