Best early armor locations in Stalker 2

Never go light on armor

Having good armor in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will help you survive the horrors of The Zone, and you’ll want to upgrade over the Leather suit as soon as possible.

If you’ve bought the Deluxe Edition (or the Ultimate Edition), you’re entitled to three amazing suits spread all over The Zone. These items can be found in Journalist Stashes, and their locations are marked once you’ve completed the Seek, and Your Shall See side quest. But what if you went with the Standard Edition of the game? Thankfully, the Debut suit can save your life on certain occasions, and it can be obtained pretty early.

How to find the Debut suit in Stalker 2

For starters, you’ll have to complete the prolog and reach Zalissya, which will serve as your first location of sorts. Once done, travel to the location marked on the map. I went there during the daytime to reduce the spookiness that surrounds The Zone, and it’s always easier to avoid getting lost.

The Old Mill is the location for the Debut suit, which is easily the best armor for early game. You’ll find a house right by the walking path and directly in front of the old mill. The door will be boarded, so use a melee attack to open it up. Then, go inside the living room, and you’ll find your armor on the corner of the table.

Compared to the Leather Jacket, the Debut suit is a big upgrade. It also offers protection against all elemental damages except Psi, but you won’t meet such an enemy in the early game.

If you have spent a bit more to get the Deluxe/Ultimate Edition, it’s only right that you get to enjoy the bonus content. There’s a Mercenary’s Light Suit to grab in Zalissya, and it’s pretty easy. Go to the location marked on the map, and you’ll find a barn. Go around it, and you’ll find a truck.

Get on the hood of the truck (from the front), go to the roof, and then drop down to enter the attic on top. You’ll find a stash inside with the suit and the Monolith Pistol as well. Do note that Standard Edition owners are not entitled to this specific armor, but they can do equally well with Debut.
