Chiori is a 5-star Geo DPS unit in Genshin Impact who deals off-field damage through her Skill. Here’s everything you need to know to sharpen your seamstress’ shears with her best artifacts and weapons.
Chiori’s damage scales with both ATK and DEF, but she benefits more from DEF stats. Prioritize Ascending her to character level 90 and level up her Skill first.
Artifact Sets
4pc Golden Troupe (4GT)
This is Chiori’s best set, since most of her damage comes from her Skill. Chiori will mostly be off-field, too, so she will have no problem keeping up its 4pc effect.
4pc Husk of Opulent Dreams (4Husk)
Husk falls slightly behind Golden Troupe, but is still a great option for Chiori. You can pre-stack its effect by keeping Chiori off-field for 12 seconds before beginning a challenge. This domain is less Resin-efficient than Golden Troupe’s domain though, since fewer characters can use the artifacts in this domain. If you have neither set already, I recommend farming for Golden Troupe over Husk.
2pc combos
If all else fails, combine 2pc sets that grant useful stats. These will include Skill DMG, Geo DMG, DEF, and, to a lesser degree, ATK.
Artifact Stats
Sands | Goblet | Circlet |
DEF | Geo DMG DEF | CRIT Rate/DMG |
Chiori’s Burst deals decent damage, but your focus should be on maximizing her Skill instead. Don’t build extra Energy Recharge in order to use her Burst. It’s fine to just Burst when it’s available.
Instead, focus on CRIT and DEF stats. ATK stats are nice, too, but prioritize DEF when you can.
Weapons
Uraku Misugiri
This is Chiori’s signature 5-star Sword. Its passive is tailor-made for her kit, and she benefits from both the Skill DMG and DEF buffs. The hefty CRIT DMG secondary stat is nice, too.
Cinnabar Spindle
If you were playing Genshin Impact two years ago during Version 2.3, you might have this event-exclusive 4-star Sword. It provides Skill DMG and DEF like Chiori’s signature, but no CRIT DMG. Unfortunately, if you missed out on this weapon, there’s no way to obtain it now.
Primordial Jade Cutter
This 5-star Sword’s passive does little for Chiori, but at the very least, it’s a good CRIT Rate stat stick. This weapon is in the standard pool, so there is a chance to obtain it accidentally through the standard banner or weapon banners.
Wolf-Fang / other 5-star Swords
If you have a few dollars to spare, you can try redeeming a few copies of Wolf-Fang from the premium Battle Pass. With a few Refinements, Wolf-Fang is slightly better than Harbinger of Dawn. Note that Chiori has to be on-field to gain stacks from Wolf-Fang’s passive, limiting its effectiveness in most use cases. You might also consider the 5-star options Light of Foliar Incision, Splendor of Tranquil Waters, and Haran Geppaku Futsu. Chiori may not make the best use of their passives, but they do make good stat sticks.
Harbinger of Dawn
This is the free-to-play accessible option. Harbinger of Dawn may be a 3-star Sword, but don’t underestimate it! Its low base ATK doesn’t matter too much to Chiori, who scales mostly with DEF. Chiori will receive both CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG buffs as long as you have a healer who can keep her above 90% health. Harbinger of Dawn can be obtained easily through wishes on any banner.
