Best character to play as in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, ranked

You can change characters.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League lets you play as one of four characters you can switch between relatively quickly.

This obviously makes one wonder which character they should use as their main character. If you want a guide to help you figure out the strengths and weaknesses of each of the members of the Suicide Squad.

Harley Quinn

She is as sarcastic and smart-mouthed, which makes her one of the best characters. Unfortunately, due to her battle techniques and traversal style, she comes dead last on the list

It may be a personal preference, but I liked her traversal style. The other characters have better and far more intuitive traversal styles. This is important in the game, as staying off the ground prevents you from dealing with highly annoying enemies.

When we’re talking combat, she’s outclassed by her peers. She excels when it comes to melee, but that requires tact like throwing grenades while she’s gripping on her, for example. Several strategies are viable with her, but it’ll take practice.

The biggest problem that arises is her traversal style which can be either the best or worst traversal methods depending on how quickly you learn to master it. It’s fast, but it’s also hard to learn how to use it.

I’d recommend Quinn for when you’ve unlocked a few skills (called Talents) that make her a more formidable foe. The examples I’m suggesting here are: On the Hop (increases damage by 20% when you’re airborne or using Bat Drone, and Arkham Special (build up enough Suicide strike and unlocks a power move. It also facilitates a big strike and leaves you with shield pickups for every member of the team.), and Small but Deadly which increases your melee attack power).

Deadshot

Deadshot failed to impress me, but the character does have use. His jet pack isn’t too impressive but it gets the job done. He’s so quiet and innocuous that it’s easy to forget he’s there at all when you play as another character.

He can also perform long-range shots, but Captain Boomerang does it better. He feels like the default character to pick up. With his easy traversal and slew of powerful weapons, you’ll get a lot out of him but he’s still outclassed by his peers.

Captain Boomerang

In my review in progress, I gave props to Captain Boomerang who is effective in his traversal. Getting around with the captain is also fun because you get between two points by using your boomerang. This improves as you move down his skill tree, making this one of the most fun characters to spend your points on.

When it comes to combat, he is a valuable asset thanks to his sniper rift. With it, you can take out the enemies without having to get close to them.

Moving away from combat, he and Quinn are my favorite characters to just hang around with. Captain Boomerang likes to lie about his achievements to boost his ego, and he’s got a vulgar but hilarious way to describe dire situations.

King Shark

King Shark is a tanky character. If you plan on spending most of your time on the ground, this is the one to pick. In the easier levels, you can just shoot around and not have to worry too much about the hits you’re also taking.

His style of traversal is also one of the best. He uses his own strength, meaning he doesn’t have to deal with the difficulties that attempt to turn travel into a mini-game, like Quinn.

Outside of combat, he’s my second-least favorite character. He has his funny moments, but it’s quite obvious that a game with King Shark alone would lack the humor of this game, as his fellow team members constantly point out his lack of understanding regarding the nuances of human interactions.

You’re dealing with a character that’s big and fast. What else could you ask for?
