No substitution for this jukebox jutsu.

If you’re a fan of the Naruto anime, chances are there are a handful of songs that live rent-free in your head. Naruto and Naruto Shippuden have been home to some of the most iconic opening themes, and they’re on the way to the next game. Bandai Namco announced new DLC for Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections adding five fan-favorite songs along with some in-game items.

The new in-game items include the Ninja Info Card Skin and two substitution items: Microphone and Orange Headphones. The five featured themes include:

  • “GO!!!” by FLOW
  • “Haruka Kanata” by ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION
  • “Blue Bird” by Ikimonogakari
  • “Silhouette” by KANA-BOON
  • “Kaze” by Yamazaru

Reliving Naruto history

All of the songs are essentials from the Naruto series, with FLOW’s “GO!!!” providing the fourth opening theme song for the original. ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION’s “Haruka Kanata” was the second for Naruto, and Ikimonogakari’s “Blue Bird” was the third for Naruto Shippuden. KANA-BOON’s “Silhouette” served as Naruto Shippuden’s 16th OP, and Yamazaru’s “Kaze” directly followed that act. The series has a ton of themes, and this lineup runs the gamut with some heavy hitters.

The appropriately named The Nostalgic Anime Song & Item DLC will be available for all platforms. It’s also coming to the limited time Sound Ultimate Bundle, which is a Steam exclusive set that includes the game, season pass, and more. You’ll be able to play along with these themes when Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections hits consoles and PC on November 17.
