Don’t ax me no questions
Sure, everyone’s busying themselves on Battlefield: Star Wars, who wants to mess with a year-old, Visceral-developed Battlefield Hardline? Some people, maybe, as EA’s Night at the Roxbury is still getting support. The Getaway expansion is out next week for Premium members, January 26 for the rest of us.
“Whether you’re making a dusty, high-speed escape across the Mexican border, or closing in on a hot pursuit along the sun-drenched Pacific coast, you’ll be chasing glory at top speed when you play Battlefield Hardline: Getaway.” So if it’s chase-based, it’s more asymmetric than Hardline‘s initial offerings? Well, that’s a positive (cops and criminals having the same objectives makes no sense).
Included in the DLC is:
- Four maps: Pacific Highway, Double Cross, Train Dodge, and Diversion
- New game mode: Capture the Bag
- Four new vehicles
- Three new weapons for the Mechanic Class
- One new gadget and a new melee weapon
- Four new Legendary Camos
There’s also a free update to the base game, “with new weapons, patches, and …a brand new way to play competitively.” That’s Competitive Match play with, “skill-based 5v5 matches, with regularly refreshed seasons, leaderboards, and winners.”
