One of the more unexpected reveals during the September 2023 Nintendo Direct is Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story. The cozy-looking pixel-crafting RPG is in development by Lazy Bear, the studio behind Graveyard Keeper and Punch Club.
Bandle Tale takes place in the League of Legends region of Bandle City. Players will take on the role of a Yordle looking to restore the magic to Bandle City. With the help of familiar Yordle friends like Teemo, Lulu, and Tristana, the player will gather resources and craft a plethora of items to build up their city.
The crafting RPG looks great and reminds me a lot of Stardew Valley. There’s something about well-done pixel art when it comes to this type of game. There’s been a ton of games released lately that take place in the League of Legends universe, some of which have been great and others that have been average. Hopefully, Bandle Tale turns out to be a solid addition to the genre on Switch.
