Assassin’s Creed Mirage has you completing investigations as you attempt to take down the Order of the Ancients. It’s no easy task, as there are enemies lurking all around, forcing you to work in the shadows. Occasionally, you’ll need to rely on help from others, which is what occurs during your investigation of Ali ibn Muhammad.
To find the Leader of the Zanj, you’ll have to breach Damascus Gate Prison. You have two options to make this easier – either seek help from merchants or rebels. Both options will help you complete the task at hand, and this guide will show you what happens with each path.
Ali ibn Muhammad Investigation – what happens if you seek help from merchants?
You’ll find a merchant near the prison, at the spot indicated on the map above. Speak to the merchant, and after giving him one token, he’ll help you get into the prison by disguising you as his assistant. This will get you into the prison, though you’ll still have to use tons of stealth to wind through the prison and finally find your target.
Ali ibn Muhammad Investigation – what happens if you seek help from rebels?
The rebels are also located next to the prison. After speaking to one of the rebels and giving them one favor token, he’ll rally his friends and storm the prison. With this method, you’ll be able to get through the front door without too much struggle.
Ali ibn Muhammad Investigation – should you seek help from rebels or merchants?
You’ll be fine with either method, but there is a slight advantage that comes with seeking help from the rebels. With their help, you’ll kill a good chunk of guards. This will make it easier as you continue to penetrate the prison. Siding with a merchant doesn’t give you any similar advantage.
You’ll be encountering quite a few factions in AC Mirage, and not all of them will be willing to help you. Know who your friends and enemies are, and you’ll be able to easily creep through Baghdad.
