Part 3 of this month’s Community Assignment
[This month’s Dtoid Community Assignment will span three topics: the past, the present, and the future of gaming. Sound off on one, two, or all three!]
When I think about “the future” in relation to videogames, my imagination runs wild. I fantasize about playing games in a Holodeck, or using an Oculus Rift while street surfing on my real-life Hoverboard. I think back to the visions of the future set forth in some of my favorite games, and how wildly they vary based on the universe. (Will it be more Syndicate or Fallout? Blood Dragon or Blade Runner?)
For this month’s Artists Wanted, I want you to create something inspired by the future as it relates to gaming. To participate, start a community blog and title it “The Future: [Your title here]”, then just post your art and a bit about the process that went into making it. Interpret this assignment however you want — don’t feel restricted by the ideas presented above! Throughout the month of February, Dtoid’s new Cblog Manager and I will be keeping an eye on the Community Blogs and promoting your artistic creations to the front page, so take your time and really perfect your piece.
