The Va’ruun’Kai planet offers a brand-new questline for space travelers, taking them over to the great capital of Dazra. You’ll dive deeper into the DLC’s main campaign and several intriguing side quests. Here’s a look into all Starfield Shattered Space missions and how to start them.
All Starfield Shattered Space DLC main missions
You can start the Shattered Space main campaign by traversing to another planet that doesn’t have any missions tied to it. You’ll discover a distress signal from there that takes you to the first quest. Check out this list of all Starfield Shattered Space DLC main quests:
- What Remains
- The Promise, Broken
- Aligning the Houses
- Zealous Overreach
- The Other Side
- Conflict in Conviction
- Exhuming the Past
- The Scaled Citadel
Although there aren’t many missions, the Aligning the Houses storyline spans multiple steps. You’re required to assist the various House Va’ruun factions, including Dul’kehf, Veth’aal, and Ka’dic. Any time you’ve begun one of their quests, you must complete it first to access the rest of them. It doesn’t matter which one you choose first; they can be done in any order.
As you progress through the Aligning the Houses questline, you’ll naturally trigger the Other Side mission. It’s a straightforward adventure that won’t demand much of your time, as it only uncovers the DLC’s lore.
If you focus on the main storyline alone, it’ll take roughly six hours to complete. Nevertheless, it can go on for much longer if you take on Shattered Space’s sidequest content.
All Starfield Shattered Space DLC side quests
The Shattered Space sidequests trigger at specific areas within Dazra. We’ll break them all down and include their distinct map locations:
Side Quest | How to Start | Map Location |
---|---|---|
Scientific Method | Overhear a pair of scientists in Dazra (simply walk around it) | |
Sympathy for the Living | Speak to Nalada at the Va’ruun Depository | |
The Courier | Speak to Lijana Dul’kehf at the Halls of Healing | |
A House Divided | Listen to a discussion around the Halls of Obedience | |
Twice Reformed | Witness an argument at the refugee camp in Dazra (walk around) | |
The Duel | Witness an argument in Jinan Plaza | |
Lost and Found | Talk to Vassilis Voria at the Halls of Healing | |
Path of Redemption | Speak to Vijun Ahkmav at Wayshrine of Redemption | |
Missing Groats | Speak to Malik Vosh at the Ivasir Goat Farm | |
Legacy of the Fang | Talk to Maaliya Hajal at the Tomb of the Fang (left of Dazra) | |
Sympathy for the Living | Walk to Deep Gorge Refinery (below Dazra on the right side) |
A few side quests will begin after you’ve overheard a conversation in Dazra. I recommend walking around there first to possibly trigger their appearance. But if any missions don’t appear, you may have to push further into the main campaign.
Like many quests, the ones shown above typically provide a substantial amount of Credits as a reward. You can use it at the nearby shops like Keep Armory, Meat House, and Alteration Clinic. However, the Keep Armory won’t be available initially, as the merchant will forbid access. To fix this, complete the Conflict in Conviction to settle your differences with House Veth’aal.
While most tasks will be in the heart of Dazra, a few are located beyond the city’s radius. Traveling to these particular areas will bring on its own set of challenges, but you can make the process much easier. Speak to a Ship Services Technician to obtain the REV-8, a vehicle that simplifies exploration. It’ll cost you 25,000 Credits, transferring it over to your ship. And if you want to boost its performance, check out our guide on the best REV-8 mods.
