You’ll encounter many characters throughout Dragon Age: The Veilguard, but you can only engage in romantic discourse with characters who are your companions. There are seven companions in total, meaning Rook has seven potential romance options. All seven companions that join you in your adventures in Dragon Age The Veilguard are options for romance. None of the romantic options are locked behind your character creation, meaning regardless of the choices you made when creating your Rook, you are free to pursue romantic options with all seven of the companions. Here are the seven romancable companions in Dragon Age The Veilguard:

- Taash
How to romance a companion in Dragon Age The Veilguard
When interacting with or speaking to a companion, you’ll sometimes get a reply option that is marked with a pink heart. This essentially means that the option is considered a flirtatious dialogue option and will increase your romantic favor with that companion. There’s no limit on the amount of flirting you can do in Dragon Age The Veilguard—in fact, you can essentially flirt with all seven companions if you want to. As you bond with each companion grows, you can check their specific page on the Companions screen to see the level of your relationship with them, located on the left side of the screen.
A heart icon indicates that specific companion has reached the bond level where they are ready to take things to the next level. They will approach you and make the offer to become an exclusive couple. You can only begin this actual relationship status with a single companion; no throuples here! However, the decision is not permanent. If you change your mind and wnat to romance a different companion, simply talk to the companion and indicate that you want to break up. When you are officially dating a companion, their icon for their bond level with you on the Companion screen will instead be two overlapping hearts.
Each companion has varying stages of bond level with Rook, with some companions being seemingly easier to romance than others. Because reaching the heart status with a companion is not exclusive, you should do what you can to increase the bond level with each of the seven companions to try and acheive the heart, that way if you ever decide to puruse the exclusive romantic relationship with them, you will have that option. The best way to increase your bond level with companions is chat with them and choose any dialogue options with the heart icon. Most of these interactions take place at the Lighthouse in between your adventures, so always make sure to exhause all dialogue options with any characters you have a romantic interest in when at the Lighthouse. If you really want to focus on romancing a companion, make sure you add them to your party as often as possible to increase the amount you converse with them.
Bellara Lutare

About Davrin: The cool and calm Davrin has a companion of his own; the babby griffin Assan. Much of Davrin’s personality revolves around supporting the Gray Wardens but also training and raising Assan, which you can assist with.
Emmrich Volkarin

How to Unlock Emmrich: Emmrich is one of the last companions you’ll recruit to the Veilguard, accessible after completing the ‘On Blighted Wings’, ‘On Deadly Wings’, or ‘Where the Dead Must Go’ storyline quests.

About Harding: Despite being a scout in the Inquisition, Harding accesses newfound magical abilities early on in Dragon Age The Veilguard which becomes a focus of her attention as she attempts to learn and master it.
Lucanis Dellamorte

Faction: Antivian Crows
How to Unlock Lucanis: After completing the ‘Sea of Blood’ quest chain in Treviso, you will have the option of recruiting Lucanis.

Neve Gallus

Faction: Shadow Dragons
How to Unlock Neve: Neve becomes a companion very early on through the main storyline quest the same time as Harding does.
How to Romance Neve: Complete Neve’s personal questlines, Add Neve to your party when doing Shadow Dragons quests, especially in Dock Town, choose to save Minrathous instead of Treviso when given the choice or you will lock our Neve as a romance option
About Neve: Part-time private investigator and full-time Frost Mage, Neve is a reputable patron of Minrathous and is dedicated to protecting Dock Town. She’s constantly reading through books to learn as much as she can about the world and the Veil.
Taash
Race: Qunari
Class: Warrior
Faction: Lords of Fortune
How to Unlock Taash: Taash will more than likely be the last companion you recruit to the Veilguard, available around the same time as Lucanis after completing ‘On Blighted Wings’ or ‘On Deadling Wings’ story quests.
