All Animal Well Flute Codes

Can you travel back in time with it?

Animal Well Flute Chamber

You thought you were done with Animal Well? It’s not done with you. There’s a whole ‘nother game after your game. After you’ve dipped your toes, you’re given a flute with a pretty helpful postgame power: The power to fast travel. Here’s how to use it.

You can first reach the flute after you gather eight of the eggs. Once you do, return to the Egg Room where all the eggs are displayed. The bottom left door will nudge its way open. Down a corridor, you’ll come to a room with a chest, and inside it is the flute. The flute’s use isn’t immediately clear, but you play notes by holding the tool button and pressing a direction, whether that is through keys or a joystick. You use these directions to input codes which do a variety of different things.

There’s a notation given within Animal Well that you see when you pick up the flute. It labels the eight directions, appropriately 1-8.

1 is set to the right direction, and then it continues clockwise. Down-right is therefore 2, down is 3, down-right is 4, and so on until you get to 8 (up-right). I’m going to use this notation, because it’s both easier to write and also how its displayed in Animal Well’s game-speak.

Some (maybe all) codes are hidden in the environment, but others are completely unknown. Players are still figuring these out, but I’ve put together a list to the best of my abilities. Most of these were discovered by the community.
