Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek, and Killhouse
When Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare first got the Variety Map Pack in 2008, the DLC was $10.
When Modern Warfare Remastered gets those same maps, first on PS4 on March 21, they’ll cost $15.
What gives? Well, Activision can get away with it. People who were willing to shell out for Infinite Warfare to play the remaster will also pony up for the chance to play Broadcast, Chinatown, Creek, and Killhouse again. There’s also “10 Rare Supply Drops” to attempt to justify the heightened cost.
Is any of this surprising? No, but it is disappointing. Those initial six free maps added to Modern Warfare Remastered were the beginning and end of that line of thinking for the publisher, it seems.
Also, if you haven’t been keeping tabs on this game, it still isn’t available as a standalone.
