Earlier this afternoon, I jumped out of my seat to catch my friendly neighborhood UPS man. You see, I was expecting a very important package: season five of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Much to my surprise, there was a second item in this delivery — something from … Poland?
Yes, Poland. Upon tearing the wrapping away, the wooden box shown above is what I found. Inside was a letter from a certain Dr. M and disc 1 of Baldur’s Gate, complete with scratches and dust. Ah, of course! The guys behind Good Old Games are, in fact, Polish.
Naturally, I popped that bad boy into my computer. A text file — not a game installer — appeared on screen. It questioned why I would bother installing games from a CD in the year 2010, and offered a redemption key for a digital copy from GOG.com.
Man, I forgot how big these games are. 1.7 GB? Jeez! I’ve scanned the letter for your convenience, so check it out; it’s quite funny. Also, excuse the awful phone pics.
