Over on Facebook, Nintendo announced three new amiibo joining the Splatoon 3 lineup: Shiver, Frye, and Big Man. You might recognize them as part of Deep Cut, the outfit responsible for announcements in the third entry. They join a small club of three other Splatoon 3 figures, released in November of 2022 (Octoling Blue, Inkling Yellow, and Smallfry).
For long-time Splatoon fans (and 2015 to now is a long time), we kind of knew this would happen eventually. All of the idols have been immortalized in amiibo form in the past, so this isn’t exactly coming out of left field. The gap however is quite considerate, given that it’ll be roughly a year since the last Splatoon amiibo drop. Nintendo works in mysterious ways! Supply chain and all that jazz.
As always, we have a full amiibo list here for context!
Pre-orders are slim in the US, but it is available from Amazon Japan
Best Buy, GameStop, and Amazon all technically have landing pages for each figure, but as usual, they’re hard to come by in the States. Keep an eye out for restocks, but note that pre-orders have already come and gone at some spots: lightning-quick, as usual.
That said, all three figures are available on Amazon Japan. The bad news is that depending on your situation/geographical location, you might have to work out some hefty shipping costs. Still, they are technically in stock!
