This week’s Left 4 Dead 2 Mutation: ‘Follow the Liter’

The newest Mutation for Left 4 Dead 2 is “Follow the Liter,” a variation on Scavenge mode where only one gas can appears at a time. This severely limits the paths Survivors can take to reach their overall objective and should help to crank up the intensity.

I mean, it’s a game about the zombie apocalypse, so it’s already fairly intense. Perhaps I should change that to “this Mutation will crank up the ragequitting.” While we are on the subject, the next Mutation has been named: it’s dubbed “Last Gnome on Earth.” Is there any possible way that won’t be great?

And finally, the results are in for a poll Valve held that asked if we’d like to see the Realism Versus Mutation become a permanent game type — 68% of you said yes. No specific date on when this change will be implemented was given, but the Left 4 Dead Blog says to come back next week for an answer.
