How to enable Secure Boot in Valorant

There’s an issue with Valorant when it comes to Windows 11 that may require you to enable Secure Boot on your end.

Playing Valorant on PC can have all sorts of issues ranging from anti-cheat, updates, and other technical problems. If you’re getting issues after installing Windows 11 or you’re on fresh hardware, you may need to try this.

How to check for Secure Boot on Valorant on PC

To see if you’re able to enable Secure Boot, you must first check if your computer supports it or if it has been turned on. Follow the instructions below:

• Press the Windows Key and X at the same time.
  • You can also press the Windows button at the bottom of your screen.
• Type “msinfo32” without the quotes and hit enter. 
• The System Information menu will come up.
• Under the System Summary tab, look for BIOS Mode and Secure Boot State.
• BIOS Mode should be set to UEFI and Secure Boot State should be set to On.

What is more important is the Secure Boot State option. If it isn’t on, or you can’t set this option on, you may need to upgrade or downgrade your OS (Operating System). If on Windows 10, try going to 11. If on 11, go back to 10. 

It’s a hassle, but this is one of the more consistent workarounds to get the Secure Boot State working.

How to enable Secure Boot on PC for Valorant

To enable Secure Boot, turn off or reset your PC. If you turned off your PC, boot it up again and then follow these instructions: 

• When restarting or turning your computer on, press the corresponding key that will bring up the BIOS.
• More often than not, it’ll either be F2 or F11. 
• In the BIOS settings, look for Secure Boot and set it on. 

If your keys, layout, or process are different, it’ll depend on your motherboard manufacturer. That will require an additional search to look up the menu layout and navigation for your specific part.
