How to get rid of Glowing Mushrooms in Disney Dreamlight Valley

After unlocking Everafter’s biomes in Disney Dreamlight Valley: The Storybook Vale, you’ll notice glowing green mushrooms scattered around. However, even after completing the main storyline, you’ll still have no solution for these fungi. Fortunately, getting the right tools is quick and easy if you have the right friends.

How to get rid of Green Mushrooms in The Storybook Vale

Getting rid of Everafter’s green glowing mushrooms requires completing the An Old-Fashioned Heist quest. An Old-Fashioned Heist is Flynn Rider’s level seven friendship mission, where, partway through, he asks you to create a tool potion that helps you clear away these mushrooms.

However, outside of completing The Wild Woods’ Fairy Tale Trial and unlocking Flynn as a villager, you’ll also need to open the following biomes:

• The Fallen Fortress (including its Fairy Tale Trial)
• The Elysian Fields

How to complete the An Old-Fashioned Heist quest

Once you unlock The Fallen Fortress, complete its Fairy Tale Trial, and open Mythopia for the first time, you’ll have everything you need to raise Flynn’s friendship level. Reaching friendship level seven and finishing his other quests unlocks An Old-Fashioned Heist quest, where he’ll talk about Maleficent’s treasure vault and Princess Aurora’s knowledge of it.

After reaching The Fallen Fortress’ Fairy Tale Trial gate, he’ll bring you to some glowing green mushrooms blocking the way. Although you can’t clear them yet, he reveals that Aurora knew how to do it and gives you her flower extract recipe.

Below is the exact recipe:

• White Rose (2)
• Olive Green Tale Cone Flower (2)
• Honeydew Melon (4)
• Posidonia (8)

While Tale Cone Flowers spawn around The Bind, White Roses are native to Fallen Fortress and The Wild Woods. If you don’t have enough right away, you may have to leave and return in a bit to give them a chance to respawn.

Posidonia and Honeydew Melon are both available in Mythopia. Obtaining Posidonia requires fishing in any Mythopia biome and avoiding fishing circles, while Honeydew is a crop you can buy from Goofy’s stall. It takes 45 minutes to grow, so expect to wait a while unless you have some Miracle Growth Elixir.

Once you have each item, bring them to a crafting station to make the Flower Extract. Drinking it upgrades your Watering Can, allowing you to clear out the green glowing mushrooms around Everafter.
