Brawl Stars Angel and Demon abilities, explained

Every time you log into Brawl Stars, you’ll either take on the role of an Angel or Demon. This role will be wholly randomized each day, so there’s no telling which one you’ll get. However, your luck will change when the Free Will system is active on weekends. Free Will allows you to choose your roles and obtain a free Starr Drop.

To browse through the Angel and Demon abilities collection, select the Codex of Doom on the left side of the screen. Here, you’ll see various slots for the following skills:

  • Angels:
    • Radiant Touch: Damage your enemies to gain a healing aura, increasing the health of a fellow Angel teammate.
    • Ascension: Boosts movement speed (can be increased for every Angel member on your team).
    • Blessed Barrier: Damage your enemies to gain a shield. Increase the shield’s strength by dealing more damage.
    • Rebirth: Gain a second chance when defeated. When active, enemies knockback, and you’ll be invulnerable temporarily.
    • Smite: Unleash beams of light to deal damage and slow down foes.
  • Demons:
    • Siphon: Damage enemies to create an energy that heals you and fellow Demon members.
    • Conjuring Chaos: Defeat an enemy to summon Imps. If there are more Demon members in your party, you’ll gain additional Imps.
    • Fury: Damaging enemies or getting hit by them boosts your movement speed.
    • Revengeance: Gain another chance when defeated. Allows you to deal a considerable amount of damage to anyone who stands in your way.
    • Demonfire: Acquire a movement speed boost, producing a fire trail behind you to damage opponents.
    • Gluttony: Defeat an enemy to spawn a Power Cube.

If you’ve unlocked Demon on your first day, you’ll acquire the Demonfire ability via the Codex of Doom. On the other side of the coin, Angel Brawlers will gain Radiant Touch.

Only one of these abilities can be activated daily and must correlate to your role as Angel or Demon. That means you can’t access an Angel skill when you’re a Demon, and vice versa for the other route.

How to unlock Angel and Demon abilities in Brawl Stars

As mentioned before, you can unlock the Demonfire and Radiant Touch techniques upon logging into Brawl Stars. However, the rest of the collection utilizes a different method. You can unlock more Angel and Demon abilities by opening Angelic and Demonic Drop rewards.

You can get Angelic and Demonic Drops by using the following features:

  • Daily Starr Drops
  • Contests
  • The Shop
  • Weekend events

Free Angelic and Demonic Star Drops are available to claim at the Shop. But, once you’ve acquired these items, you must exchange Gems to unlock more. Don’t worry; there are still a few ways to get them for free, such as participating in weekend events or contests. Contests, mainly, are determined by how well you did in the round. Thus, if you perform outstandingly, you’ll get unprecedented rewards.

New Contests trigger every three days, so check back to claim more prizes. Every day, you’ll obtain five tickets to compete in these challenges, and you must ensure that you use them before the three-day period is up. Otherwise, your current tickets will be lost and replaced with the latest version.

All accessible game modes for Angel and Demon abilities in Brawl Stars

  • Trio showdown (Feast or Famine)
  • Spirit Wars (Hellish Harvest)
  • Soul Collector (Paperback Pond)
  • Showdown
  • Hot Zone

Equip one of your Angel and Demon abilities before hopping into these rounds, and utilize them to gain the upper hand in battle.
