Operator skins might not offer any direct in-game advantage to the players, but they indeed have a high demand. After all, you can stand out and make your operators look different, and there are some fantastic skins to pick from that are currently available in the game. If you believe in leaks and rumors, the Redacted skin is present in the game, but you can’t unlock it, well, at least not anytime soon.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Redacted Operator skin, explained

Operator skins can be obtained in different ways in Black Ops 6. They can be unlocked by completing various objectives, and the upcoming Season 1 battle pass will have a fair number of them (most likely). UK users can also unlock the Hella Chill operator skin for Nazir.

The Redacted Operator skin, on the other hand, hasn’t been officially revealed by the developers. Instead, it was unearthed by data miners, who found its looks and design inside the game files. Once they found it, the skin appeared online, and it’s a full black design with a pair of goggles.

Since it’s not officially available inside the game yet, the actual method to unlock it remains unknown. Incidentally, some players have reportedly spotted the skin in lobbies, where a few hackers have managed to unlock Prestige Master and reach all the way to 1000 Mastery levels.

This could indicate that maybe the Redacted operator skin will require us first to unlock Prestige Master and then take up to level 1000. As an alternative, the skin might also be available right when you unlock Prestige Master. Either way, it’s safe to concur that we’re not supposed to get this operator skin anytime soon.

The skin is also an indicator that if you encounter it in one of your lobbies, you’re likely playing with a hacker. That said, the developers routinely conduct ban waves, so those who unlocked the skin early might end up losing all their in-game progression and, possibly, their Activision accounts as well.

If we do get an official release of the skin in the future, we will update this article to reflect the exact process to unlock the skin in Black Ops 6.
