The classic Prestige system is back in Call of Duty Black Ops 6, and it will be the ultimate reward for the true grinders.
Ahead of the global launch, Activision has shared some vital information about how the Prestige system will work in the upcoming title. It will be a risk vs. reward approach, as those opting for it will lose plenty of valuable things from their inventory. But they will also be rewarded for their extra efforts, so let’s find out how the full system will work inside the game.
When can you activate the Prestige system in Call of Duty Black Ops 6?
The new Prestige system can be activated once you’ve reached player level 55 (which is the maximum level at first). You can enter into this system from the Progression tab, which is located inside Barracks. Once you enter the system, you’ll lose access to the following items.
- Player levels
- All level unlocks (except Base Operators, Emotes, Zombies GobbleGums, and permanent unlocks)
- All loadouts
- While lifetime stats will remain, your stats will only correspond to your current Prestige.
What will you gain from the Call of Duty Black Ops Prestige system?
As soon as you enter Prestige 1, you’ll get the following items.
- Prestige 1 Icon
- Nacht Raider Weaver Operator Skin
These will be followed by rewards at level milestones.
- Level 10: Der Riese Loading Screen
- Level 20: GobbleGum Pack (Premium Only)
- Level 30: Zombie Breach Animated Emblem
- Level 40: Insta-Kill Power-Up Charm
- Level 50: Teddy Is a Liar C9 Blueprint
Every time you enter Prestige, you’ll unlock a Permanent Unlock token as well.
Activision has also teased some of the rewards coming in future Prestige systems. These include operator skins for Payne, Toro, and Maya and blueprints for the XM4 and Swat 556 Marksman Rifle.
How do you become Prestige Master in Call of Duty Black Ops 6?
If you enter all 10 Prestige in Call of Duty Black Ops 6, you’ll become a Prestige Master. This will allow you to level up all the way to 1,000 and unlock plenty of additional rewards in the process. This includes operator and weapon skins, but the cool quotient goes up for the Legacy Prestige Icons that can be unlocked.
All in all, the return of the popular system will be a perfect choice for those who spend endless hours in Call of Duty Black Ops 6. Once the game goes live on October 25, we will have more clarity about how the exact system works.
