With tonfa flamethrowers aflame, Burnice ignites her way into Zenless Zone Zero as the game’s newest five-star featured Agent. With such burning hype behind her, you’re probably wondering: Is she worth scorching away your hard-earned money?
Should you pull for Burnice in Zenless Zone Zero?
For the subject matter, this cannot be ignored: Zenless Zone Zero has a lot of attractive characters, and anyone with eyes can see that Burnice was designed to be easy to look at. If you’re someone who likes to pull characters based purely on aesthetics, Burnice is an easy recommendation.
However, aesthetics has no actual value to your account in terms of power progression, and I highly recommend you consider this first before just pulling. Burnice is a featured character meaning she is expensive to obtain, after all. With that said, is Burnice powerful enough to ponder?
If you can clear all of the current content in Zenless Zone Zero with the characters you already own, then Burnice is not a necessity to pull. Necessities aside though, I do recommend pulling her as she is extraordinarily powerful, much more so than her initial impressions will let on.
On the surface, Burnice is exactly as she appears: a Fire Anomaly character who is really good at burning her enemies to a crisp. Thanks to this, she pairs exceptionally well with other Anomaly characters like Piper and Jane for a Disorder team composition. However, digging deeper, you will notice that she has surprisingly high multipliers for her abilities and has consistent access to several hidden iframes (invulnerability frames) throughout her entire kit. These two factors together make Burnice, if built with it in mind, a strong hypercarry for a team designed around her.
Beyond her kit, she has incredible build variety thanks to her great multipliers. Generally, Burnice always wants Anomaly Proficiency and ATK% as these two stats scale very well with her. However, because her main abilities have great scaling, Critical Stats also have great intrinsic value. PEN Ratio also has significant value if you can stack enough of it through buffs, or weapons such as Fusion Compiler.
I could praise Burnice’s flexibility for ages, but the long and short of it is that Burnice is worth pulling from a meta standpoint, thanks, again, to her versatility. She has many build options and several viable teammates, along with numerous ways to play her, based on your preference. She is absolutely not necessary on every account, but you won’t be going wrong by getting even a single copy of her.
