Which Starter Unit should you choose in Anime Vanguards?

Which anime character will you pick?

The first step you take in Anime Vanguards is a pivotal one, as it requires you to choose between three Units: Ichiga, Roku, and Luffo. This decision can heavily impact the beginning of your journey, particularly when it’s time to go into battle.

After thoroughly comparing the three characters, it’s clear that Luffo stands out as the best Starter Unit in Anime Vanguards. His powerful and swift punches make him one of the most effective early attackers, swiftly clearing waves. While Roku and Ichiga have their uses, Luffo’s reliability in taking down enemies is unmatched, giving you the confidence you need in battle.

You must also consider the Unit’s Passive skills, which will differ with each build. For instance, Luffo’s Greatest Pirate ability grants you five percent RNG with every attack, stacking up pretty nicely with his quick-paced hits. Roku excels in higher DMG rates using his Raised on Earth skill, reaching a maximum of 42 percent. Ichigo’s Substitute Soul Reaper functions similarly, with a lower stack of +20 percent. I found Luffo’s Passive a bit more helpful; however, you could still get your money’s worth with the other two if they suit your playstyle.

Despite Luffo’s talents, you’ll still need to unlock the higher-rarity characters to maximize your team. After all, he is just a Starter Unit, so use him while you can to get enough gems for the Summons. Then, you can start rolling for the more Epic Units, like Alligator, Gaari, and Genitsu. If you’re lucky, you may even stumble upon a Legendary or Mythic, providing the best Units in Anime Vanguards.
