Streamer insta-kills punishing Black Myth: Wukong boss with an unintentional glitch

Lore accurate Wukong gameplay.

The streamer and content creator, DSPGaming, during his playthrough of Black Myth: Wukong, cheesed Kang Jin-Star, a rather difficult boss from Chapter 3. While just trying to defeat her, DSP used a transformation spell and simply attacked her. What happened next was pure hilarity.

In the clip below, he’s in the early stages of this battle, using the Azure Dust transformation spell. Nothing crazy is happening yet, but he’s just slowly whittling away at the boss’ health while staggering her in a corner.

When the next phase happens, Kang Jin-Star is teleporting all over the place, above his character and below the ground. While he’s just mindlessly using the transformation’s attacks to try and hit the boss, there comes a point where she’s below the ground and DSP’s attack hits.

Without even realizing it, the boss’ health went from nearly 70% to zero from that one random interaction. When he can finally hit her, she goes down in one blow. He’s left so confused. So what happened?

While in the teleporting phase of this boss fight, Kang Jin-Star is still vulnerable to damage. She’s hard to hit since she’s moving around so fast and out of bounds, but apparently, the hitbox of that slam attack was large enough to essentially push her out of bounds.

It was either that or the shaking of the ground pound made Kang Jin-Star fall into the out-of-bounds area, instantly killing her. It seems easy enough to replicate, so this will surely get patched out.

Kang Jin-Star is a fairly difficult boss because of all the movement between each phase. Pair that with the lightning damage she does and how often you have to respect her space, this unintentional cheese sure did prevent a lot of rage on DSP’s part.

While Black Myth: Wukong is very strict in terms of invisible walls, often going past these will lead you to an instant death. The same applies to enemies. Interactions don’t happen like in the clip above, but mostly in higher, cliffside areas like in Chapter 3 and beyond, where you can knock enemies out of bounds to their deaths.

Kudos to DSP for pulling something cool like this. Sun Wukong would be proud that you had a wild trick up your sleeve to get past Kang Jin-Star.
