The long awaited Cult of the Lamb: Unholy Alliance update launches today. With this massive patch, you’ll finally be able to embark on your quest for indoctrinated followers with a friend. On top of the free co-op update, the Pilgrim Pack has also been released, containing new quests and follower forms.
I’ve never really been a voice in the push to have multiplayer incorporated into basically every game, but I also don’t care if it is. My preference to play solo is rarely affected by the option to drag someone along. I, personally, have never thought that Cult of the Lamb would be improved by the inclusion of another human, but if you did, then I’m happy for you.
Cult of the Lamb: Unholy Alliance introduces the Goat as a second player character. While, normally, this is who the second player takes the role of, you can also slip into the skin of capra Luigi by unlocking the Goat Fleece in the crown menu. Otherwise, you can start co-op at seemingly any time through the pause menu.
Note that this is local co-op only.
Aside from the multiplayer, there is also, holy crap, a tonne of new stuff being added. Maybe check out the patch notes here for the whole slate.
Meanwhile, the Pilgrim Pack has a much more easily paste-able list of features. Here’s the paste:
- The Full Pilgrim Comic Story and Bonus Pages!
- Unique In-Game Questline
- 5 New Follower Forms: Panda, Skunk, Echidna, Anteater, Camel
- 2 New Outfits & 1 New Fleece: Jalala’s Coat, Rinor’s Robes, Fleece of the Silken Touch
- 5 New Decorations
