How to get the Fortunate Star bow in Destiny 2

Another bow to add to the collection.

Destiny 2 wouldn’t be the game it is if it wasn’t introducing new weapons to acquire all the time. Snagging some new tools and getting their god rolls is the entire purpose of the late game, and is something I try to strive for constantly. One such weapon is a particularly desired bow, introduced very recently. Here’s how to get the Fortunate Star bow in Destiny 2.

The Fortunate Star is available as part of the Solstice event in Destiny 2. For 2024, this event runs from August 6 until August 27, letting you partake in the event and score a bunch of the new weapons. One such weapon is the Fortunate Star. If you want to farm it directly, your best bet is to run the Bonfire Bash event in the EAZ. Eventually, you should see it drop.

Alongside Bonfire Bash, the bow is also available from Solstice packages. These are earned when completing Solstice Bounties, which can be acquired from Eva Levante in the Tower.

If you want to farm for the best roll of the bow, you’re looking to for the following perks and attachments:

  • Bowstring: Agile Bowstring
  • Arrow: Carbon Arrow Shaft
  • Perk 1: Archer’s Tempo
  • Perk 2: Destabilizing Rounds

The Agile Bowstring helps out the bow’s handling and stability, while Carbon Arrow Shaft adds even more to the stability. Archer’s Tempo drastically reduces draw times when hitting enemies in the head, which you’ll be doing a lot. Meanwhile, Destabilizing Rounds helps the Void side of the bow and makes it great for Void builds that thrive off debuffing enemies.
