How to get Super Helldive in Helldivers 2

To unlock Super Helldive in Helldivers 2, you have to complete a level 9– Helldive operation. This means that you simply have to complete an entire mission set, consisting of three levels, to unlock the difficulty.

This could be a lot tougher now with the recent nerfs to some of the best weapons in the game, but also, the inclusion of new enemy variants to both the Terminids and Automatons. Even with the new patch, you’re still better off completing a Terminid operation over an Automaton one.

Easiest way to unlock Super Helldive in Helldivers 2

If you still haven’t even unlocked the normal Helldive difficulty (9) in Helldivers 2, you can rush your way there by completing your current highest difficulty rating to get there.

The best way to do so is by completing operations that contain the following mission types:

  • Nuke Nursery
  • Blitz: Search and Destroy
  • Eradicate Terminid Swarm

The Nuke missions are very easy to complete. You simply have to call down the mission-specific Stratagem, activate it, defend it, and blow it up. Depending on the difficulty, the objective count only goes up to three and can be done in 10 minutes.

As for the Blitz mission, you simply have to blow up a set number of bug nest holes and extract. You’re only given 12 minutes, so it’s a quick smash-and-grab.

Finally, for Eradicate missions, you just kill enough bugs until the counter goes to 100%. Bring a good loadout that can deal with heavies and swarms of small Terminids.

The difficulties do ramp up dramatically, so it’s also advised to go in with squads of three or four players so you can split objectives and enemy aggro. Playing solo is doable, but very painful.
