All Boss locations in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3

Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3 has three bosses you can find in the following locations:

  • Megalo Don: Brutal Beachhead
  • The Machinist: Redline Rig
  • Ringmaster Scarr: The Nitrodome

However, you’re not guaranteed to find them in these exact locations. Although Ringmaster Scarr will always stay at the Nitrodome, Megalo Don and The Machinist often patrol the map, causing them to spawn in a random location and move around with a squad of guards and a War Bus. You’ll know this is the case if you spot their medallion map icon roaming the map rather than staying at their default spawn location.

How to defeat every boss in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3

The main goal of fighting each Fortnite boss is to protect yourself against their onslaught of attacks while either avoiding other players or using them to weaken the boss before sweeping in for the final blow. You can do this in many ways, but it’ll largely depend on whether the bosses are patrolling the map or guarding their base. Generally speaking, you’ll want strong weapons and full shields or a car with weapon attachments.

Ringmaster Scarr

Ringmaster Scarr is the easiest to beat of these three bosses if you have a car and reliable weapons. Before you unlock the fight against Scarr, you must head to the Nitrodome, stand in the arena, and survive against various obstacles. These aren’t too difficult to get through, as most of them are stationary and just require you to wait for the timer to end.

Once you finish the Nitrodome’s challenge, Ringmaster Scarr will appear on a platform at the top of the arena. However, part of this platform is made of wood, so you can break it before finding a safe spot in the arena, eliminating her, and climbing up to grab your loot. Better yet, you can sit in a car with a machine gun attachment and attack, giving you extra protection.

While fighting Scarr, watch out for her guards and other players. If you’re not careful, you can quickly get overrun by half a dozen NPCs attacking you, which can drain your health fast even if you’re in a safe spot. Similarly, other players often visit this landmark for an easy medallion, so watch your surroundings in case someone swoops in for the kill.

Megalo Don

Megalo Don is one of two bosses who’ll either stay at his base in Brutal Beachhead or patrol the map. Your strategy will depend on where he is during your match, but your objective is to focus on the boss and be careful of his guards.

Fighting Megalo Don at his base is easier, as you won’t have his entire patrol squad and War Bus getting in the way of your battle. However, you’ll likely spot numerous players contesting the area, so eliminate them quickly or avoid them during the fight.

If you find Megalo Don patrolling the map, you’ll have to watch out for his War Bus. The bus has guards and turret attachments that can quickly drain your health, but you can take over the bus and eliminate the threat if you’re lucky. A safer method of dealing with the boss is sitting in a car with grenades or a machine gun attachment.

Outside of this, Megalo Don is relatively simple to fight and can quickly be eliminated with a few sniper skill shots or a whole lot of AR and SMG bullets. Magneto Power is particularly helpful here, as it has powerful area-of-effect attacks and can help shield you against Don’s bullets.

The Machinist

The Machinist is the second boss who can either patrol the map or stay at their Redline Rig base camp. Your strategy and warnings for the Machinist are identical to Megalo Don’s, as both are very similar in health, weapons, and surrounding guards.

Your biggest threat with any boss is usually other players completing quests or seeking medallions. Make sure to keep healing items or shield potions on you in case you need to restore some health quickly. Sometimes, you may have to wait until later in a match or make a quick escape using nearby cars.
