How to get Drive Discs in Zenless Zone Zero

Everyone needs a little music in their life.

Drive Discs, accompanied by W-Engines, are the cornerstone of a character’s build in Zenless Zone Zero. Their acquisition, though not immediate, is a crucial step in your journey. Here’s a guide on how to get Drive Discs in Zenless Zone Zero and when this feature becomes available.

During Chapter 1, you’ll be rewarded with your first-ever Drive Discs to boost a character’s stats. While you may think this will provide you with more of them, it won’t be available until later on. Specifically, the Chapter 2 Intermission phase will finally offer the material where you should meet up with Roland and Elfy.

I was around Level 26 when it triggered, so reaching this rank will likely take a while. After you’ve unlocked Chapter 2 Intermission, you can farm Drive Discs in Zenless Zone Zero by tuning Master Copies at the Music Store. Players can obtain the Master Copies via the Routine Cleanup at the Scott Outpost, in which they will go against formidable does.

Players must then tune materials with Plating Agents at Elfy’s Bardic Needle Music Store. In return, they’ll earn a bundle of Drive Discs. Plating Agents can be earned in Routine Cleanup or Rally Commissions. These quests are much more challenging than others you may have faced before. Plus, they may require you to reach Level 30 or higher to match the enemy’s rank.

When tuning a disc, you can select your preferred choice in Track Settings to increase its output probability. The Music Store can also be upgraded with higher Inter-Knot levels, providing better items.

Up to six Drive Discs can be placed onto an Agent’s build, along with one W-Engine. Most are designed for specific fighting styles and attributes, so attach the correct ones. Zenless Zone Zero’s Drive Discs can also be upgraded with the Enhance feature to boost its stats further.
