Epic Games has disabled the use of Nitro Fists and vehicles in Fortnite for Ranked and Zero Build game modes during the All Sweat Summer event. From July 4 to July 18, Nitro Fists will not be part of the loot in these two modes, and no vehicle or vehicular items will be available. This also means that no Boss Cars will be available.
Moreover, NPCs cannot be hired as allies, and are now hostile characters and bosses with their Medallions for these two modes.
These changes will only apply to the Ranked and Zero Build modes, so players still get to use the Nitro Fists and vehicles in the public battle royale modes.
Epic Games’ decision is not entirely surprising, given the widespread criticism of vehicles in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3. Moreover, Nitro Fists also received significant nerfs recently after players expressed their concerns about the item.
However, some players are still able to find and use Nitro Fists in Ranked, and the official Fortnite Status account has acknowledged the issue, and the developers are working on a fix.
After Nitro Fists, a new weapon item has been added to Fortnite. The new Magneto Gauntlets are now available on ground loot and chests in Fortnite. These gauntlets allow the player to manipulate magnetic shards, which serve as ammo, to create a shield for protection, or use the shards as projectiles to deal damage to opponents, and vehicles.’
