The northeast area in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is totally missable if you don’t carefully examine each place you go to. It’s story-related to an extent, but not as far into the story as you think.
So, before you keep claiming more Remembrance bosses under your belt, here’s how to get to this area to see more side quests and other aspects of the game.
How to get to the northeast area in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
To get to the northeast area of the map in Shadow of the Erdtree, you will have to get to Moorth Ruins. This is where you’ll meet Dryleaf Dane for the duel with him after clearing Castle Ensis and meeting up with Needle Knight Leda at the Highroad Cross.
Follow the screenshots we have and use them as a point of reference to get to that part of the map. It’s easy to end up getting lost and ending up somewhere entirely different.
First, from the Moorth Ruins Site of Grace, go east. Follow the path until you come across a leaning tower pillar. A body should be hanging from it. Next to this thing, there should be an entrance for you to fall into.
As you’re inside this cavern, slowly descend through. Do not try to skip certain steppable areas as you may end up dying due to fall damage. There will be a point where you can see a tunnel. One end will have an item while the other end is where you want to get to.
Outside the tunnel, you’ll come across even more depths of the ruins. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see three priest enemies praying in front of a doorway. Deal with them, then snag the item inside the chest just inside the doorway.
Facing away from the doorway, descend further down until you can finally go down no more. Finally, there should be another tunnel that will eventually lead you to a well and a long ladder. Climb it up and you’ll now end up at Bonny Village.
From here, you can now visit the Bonny Gaol, Rabbath’s Rise, the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, and the Church District area of the Shadow Keep.
