FFXIV: How to complete Leafing Through the Past in Dawntrail

Most quests in Final Fantasy XIV are pretty straight forward, but there are occasionally some which break the mould. One such quest happens towards the end of the Dawntrail MSQ, requiring some thinking to complete. 

If you’re looking up a guide to this quest, it’s safe to assume that you’re doing the quest itself. However, if you’re thinking ahead or here out of curiosity, here’s your warning – there are heavy spoilers ahead from the story of Dawntrail. 

After you’ve successfully defeated Zarool Ja, discovered the truth about Sphene, and followed her into Living Memory, you’ll eventually come to a quest regarding the history of the Milalla. Krile’s parents invite you to check out what amounts to a Milalla History Museum, but of course, it can’t be a leisurely tour, could it?

Which braziers need to be lit in Leafing Through the Past

While you may find yourself agreeing with Wuk Lamat, you have no choice but to do as the guide instructs. So, after finding yourself in the second chamber, you’ll need to figure out which Braziers to light. 

If you’ve been paying attention to the story of Dawntrail, this won’t be much of a problem. But just in case, here are the Braziers you need to light in order to progress past this step:

How many masks are there in Leafing through the past

Having successfully dealt with the Braziers, you’ll enter into the next chamber. In here, the guide will ask you to count how many different types of masks adorn the walls of the chamber.
