There were quite a few disappointed faces greeting yesterday’s news that God of War: Collection won’t be coming to Europe until 2010, if indeed it comes at all. Luckily, however, Sony has provided some good news for those with an eye to importing the game. It will be region-free.
This is something most people had anticipated, since practically every PS3 game ships this way. It’s one of the best decisions Sony ever made, and it of course means that those in Europe who are desperate for some old school Kratos action all up in their Blu-ray can import the game from a reputable dealer or cutthroat mercenary operating out of the back of his brother’s van in East Croydon.
Those with a more patient disposition can just wait until some time next year.
