Palworld have been hinting at new building structures coming to the game since the mini roadmap was released in January, but the release of the Paldeck on June 23 has pretty much confirmed at least one of the new items coming.
The Paldeck showcases Shroomer, the Pal wearing a mushroom hat who was teased by Pocketpair way back in April alongside Croajiro and two other Pals who as yet aren’t named.
However, the Paldeck itself does show Shroomer in the spotlight, with his derpy walk and what looks like the perfect habitat of a forest of giant mushrooms:
According to the description of the video, “if you see one standing still, it’s not trying to mimic a mushroom; it just inhaled too much of its own spores”, but there is no further information as to what these spores are supposed to do. Presumably, they’re hallucinogenic, given the name of this particular Pal.
One thing that stands out from this Paldeck video, though, isn’t Shroomer itself. Although the new Pal is adorable in its own special way, the star of the show for me personally is what appears to be a fully glass structure:
This was shown previously in the June 22 Paldeck for Katress Ignis, but in Shroomer’s Paldeck, it is shown much more clearly and even smashes as Relaxaurus Lux unleashes a strong electrical attack to break himself, his less electric cousin, and his mushroom-wearing friends out of captivity. This pretty much confirms the addition of glass structures, although not officially.
It seems I’m not alone in getting excited over the possibility of an in-game greenhouse though, with people in the comments of Palworld’s Twitter post focusing very much on the glass, rather than poor old Shroomer.
In the sneak peek at the end of Shroomer’s Paldeck video, we saw a glimpse of Wixen Noct. The next Paldeck isn’t due to be released until June 29, though, so players will likely encounter this next new Pal in-game before we get to see its showcase.
