Europe getting big pre-order bonuses with Assassin’s Creed 2

Ubisoft is showing Europe some love with a couple of limited editions for Assassin’s Creed II. The game will be available in “White” and “Black” editions with different goodies in them.

The “White” edition is available exclusively at GAME retailers and will run £59.99 on consoles and £49.99 on PC. It features a statue of Ezio in his trademark, open arms pose. He measures about eight and a half inches tall and looks pretty cool, in my opinion. There’s also a bonus level included, set in the Santa Maria Dei Frari church in Venice. Nice.

Not quite as nice as what comes in the “Black” edition, which Ubisoft claims is “Extremely Limited.” This little number, which you can only get at Play.com for the tidy sum of £69.99 (or £59.99 on PC) comes crammed with more stuff. You still get an Ezio statue, only he’s wearing more stuff and is referred to as a “master assassin.” You still get the bonus level, but you also get two more: The Palazzo Medici in Florence and Arsenal Shipyard in Venice. All of that, plus an artbook and the game’s soundtrack. Hell of a package there.

We don’t have a clue whether similar editions will be released elsewhere in the world yet, but my ears are perked up a bit. It’ll be interesting to see what everybody else gets. Check below for images of the different editions.
